Scrap Handling Systems
High speed, high productivity presses need an equally efficient and reliable scrap disposal system in place to ensure uptime of these expensive machines. The heavy scrap generated during pressing operations needs to be continuously removed and disposed in 24x7 working environment. Miven Mayfran offers from its repertoire, scrap management system that take up this challenge in press shops of the automotive industry. Miven Mayfran has installed scrap conveyor systems in all major automobile plants in India, as also abroad. Likewise, Mayfran has large number of installations of such scrap conveyors in automobile plants around the world. Our conveyors are so robust and reliable that many of our installations in the country are running for the past two decades without a breakdown.
Hinged Steel Belt Conveyors
Miven Mayfran’s heavy duty steel belt conveyors are used for handling sheet metal press scrap, stamping scrap, slag pieces, hot solid objects and solid waste. Overlapping sidewings prevent ingress of parts or scrap into the chain running track. The frame of casing of the conveyor can be open type-made from structural steel sections or closed type-made from heavy gauge steel plates depending on the application. The skirts on the conveyors frame enable high volume of material to be handled and adjustable leg supports ensure easy installation and compensate for uneven foundations.
Several disposal option are available – storage hoppers, two way chutes or bi-directional conveyors to ensure continuous uninterrupted removal of scrap without requiring to stop the highly productive presses. Scrap disposal through extensible telescopic chute ensures collection of undamaged scrap for reuse.
The complete system runs with PLC controlled automation. Types:
4 Inch Pitch Scrap Handling Conveyors
Ideally suited for light duty pressing applications, of the order of 2 to 4 tons per hour, to be conveyed to a distance of around 40 meters and elevated to height of about 4 meters.
6 Inch Pitch Scrap Handling Conveyors
Normally used for heavy duty pressing applications, of the order of 4 to 10 tons per hour to be conveyed to a distance of around 70 meters and elevated to a height of about 5 meters.
9 Inch Pitch Scrap Handling Conveyors
Normally used for very heavy duty pressing applications, of the order of 10 to 20 tons per hour to be conveyed to a distance of around 100 meters and elevated to a height of 5 meters of more.
Drag Fold Conveyors
Specially designed to handle thin sheet metal scrap such as in electrical stamping industry. Its unique features ensure trouble free and noise less operation even when handling large volumes.
